  • At the moment, I am only shipping to these countries:

    • New Zealand

    • Canda

    • UK

I am hoping to add more countries in the future once my shipping process is all settled. Thank you for your understanding :)

Due to the recent suspension of some postal services to the United States. I will not be shipping to the USA at this time either.

  • I know shipping can sometimes feel a little pricey. Postage costs are set by Australia Post and other carriers and as a small business it can be costly to send parcels — especially for international orders.

To keep things simple and fair, I offer a flat shipping fee — so no matter how many goodies you add to your cart, the postage cost stays the same!

I always make sure to only charge what it actually costs to send your parcel safely, so you’re never paying more than necessary! Thank you for your understanding.

Refunds, Returns & Cancellations

  • Due to the handmade nature of my products, I’m unable to offer returns or refunds if you change your mind or the item is not quite what you expected.

Please take a moment to read descriptions carefully and check sizing details before purchasing.

  • Once an order is placed, it cannot be cancelled. Please ensure your order details are correct before checking out.

  • I will always try my best to package your goodies so they arrive safe and sound!

However, if your package is damaged please email be at studiomaeflower@gmail.com within 7 days of receiving your parcel with:

    • Your order number

    • A short description of the issue

    • Clear photos of the item and packaging

I’ll happily arrange a replacement or refund - whichever works best for you!

  • While I pack every order with care, I cannot be responsible for parcels lost via standard untracked shipping. For extra peace of mind, I recommend choosing tracked shipping at checkout.

If you selected tracked shipping and the carrier has confirmed your parcel is lost, please reach out to me at studiomaeflower@gmail.com— I’ll do my best to help resolve the issue.

  • For international orders, your country’s customs office may charge import taxes, duties, or handling fees before releasing your parcel. These costs are not included in my prices or shipping fees, and are the responsibility of the buyer.

Customs rules vary from country to country, so I recommend checking with your local customs office if you’re unsure about possible fees.

Illustration Questions

  • I create most of my illustrations on an iPad (iPad Air 5th Gen) using the software, Procreate.

I also dabble in traditional mediums such as gouache, alcohol/watercolour markers, coloured pencils and fine point pens to create mix-media pieces. I love experimenting with my sketchbooks, this is where I find my best ideas.

  • I draw a lot of inspiration from my childhood and growing up in the Pilbara. I incorporate a sense of playfulness and vibrancy to my works.

Nature is another big source of my inspiration, coming from the country I draw inspiration from animals and plants. I love using my imagination to create worlds with cute and fun charac

  • I keep a physical notebook and one on my phone, I write down any random ideas that comes to me, bad or good!

Once I have an idea in mind, I write out keywords to describe my scene and then I follow by creating 2-3 rough thumbnails of different ideas based on those keywords. This is also where I start to play around with potential colour schemes.

Once I have a thumbnail that I am happy with. I will create a really rough initial sketch. The messier the better! This is where you want to make any major changes to your illustration.

I will create another sketch, creating a more defined sketch. I don’t usually do line art at this stage.

I will go straight into the colour stage of the piece. I continue to build up the piece by adding textures, lines and shading but mostly trying to keep the piece flat. I add a few more small details to make the illustration pop and I am done!

  • Art style is something that is ever evolving. My art style five years ago is very different to what it is now. I expect that my art style will change again in the next five years.

My biggest advice is to not be so fixated finding the ‘right’ style. I have also found experimenting and learning is the best way to discover what you like and hate to do. Study other artists, learn a new subject or play around with a new colour palette is things I find helpful.

  • I think art block happens to everyone and it is totally normal! I think not experiencing some sort of art block along your creative journey would be abnormal to say the least.

For me in the first instance, I just accept that I am in this situation and just know that this feeling is only temporary. Usually I take a step back from my art for a couple of days, a week or even a couple of months. This is different for everyone!

I try to focus on my other hobbies or explore new ones! I often like to take long walks in nature, listening to my favourite music that makes me happy. Even cleaning sometimes clears my head!

When you do end up wanting to make art again. Take it easy, draw your guilty pleasures, explore new subjects or even just make messy doodles. Putting pen to the paper is the hardest step. Good luck!!
